In the era of “AI in Everywhere”, integrating advanced AI techniques into the educational environment has become a central issue for the continuous development of modern education systems. The main objective of this workshop is to discuss and share the latest academic efforts in applying optimization and machine learning to these crucial scenarios. Recent advances reveal that an AI-based approach can significantly enhance manual analysis and decision-making processes. For instance, machine learning can unravel the complex influences on student motivation, while combinatorial optimization techniques are proven to be highly effective in assembling personalized and adaptive tests. The main objective of this workshop is to discuss and share the latest academic efforts in applying optimization and machine learning to automate and improve these crucial educational scenarios. We aim to bring together researchers from optimization, machine learning, and educational technology to explore cutting-edge solutions and forge a path toward truly optimized, personalized learning environments.

The International Workshop on Large Language Models for Next-generation Education (LLMNE 2025)

This workshop explores the intersection of artificial intelligence, education technology, and language learning through the lens of large language model (LLM) reasoning and knowledge representation. As AI transforms educational landscapes, there is a critical need to understand how LLMs can enhance learning experiences while addressing fundamental questions about knowledge representation and reasoning in educational contexts. The workshop will focus on three key areas: (1) AI for Education - examining how LLMs can personalize learning, enhance pedagogical approaches, and support diverse educational needs; (2) AI for Language Learning - investigating applications of reasoning-enhanced AI in second language acquisition, multilingual education, and language skill development; and (3) LLM Knowledge and Reasoning - exploring how these systems understand, process, and apply knowledge in educational settings. This interdisciplinary workshop aims to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI research and practical educational applications, fostering collaboration between AI researchers, educators, and educational technology practitioners to shape the future of intelligent educational systems.

AI and IoT-Enabled Technologies for Medical Education, Assessment, and Personalized Learning in the Digital Age

This workshop explores how AI, IoT, and embedded systems are transforming medical education and healthcare training, aligning with ICWL-SETE’s focus on educational technology. Key topics include AI-driven adaptive learning and assessment systems, IoT-enabled medical simulators, immersive remote training environments, and real-time analytics for personalized feedback. The integration of communication protocols such as MQTT and LoRaWAN, sensor-based data collection, and mobile robotics are examined as means to create scalable, engaging, and effective educational tools. The workshop aims to foster discussions on designing intelligent, data-driven learning environments that address challenges in remote healthcare education, assessment, and personalization.
